Firm Profile

Forme Interior Design Inc. is a Kelowna based, full service interior design consulting firm.  Primarily focusing on the interior design of commercial spaces, Forme has been working with local businesses in the Okanagan since its formation in 2009.  The firm is rooted in the belief design is a tool to improve the human experience in the built environment and is guided by a commitment to client service and client focused design.  The aim is to lead clients through a renovation project by simplifying their role while keeping them informed throughout the process.  A thorough understanding of client goals and providing unique solutions to meet project objectives has been the basis of the firm’s success.

Designer Profile

With 25+ years experience, Principal designer Tamara Jones, earned her Bachelor of Interior Design degree from the University of Manitoba and is a professional  member of Interior Designers Institute of BC (IDIBC). This means, she is qualified through education, experience and examination to create built interior environments to support the health, safety and well being of occupants. IDC members also: 

  • have passed the national qualification exam (NCIDQ)

  • carry liability insurance

  • participate in ongoing professional development

  • adhere to a professional code of ethics and standards of practice

The Design Process

  • Space Analysis or test fit plans of potential new office or retail space prior to securing a lease.

  • Project planning  and conceptual design  to define project scope and client objectives. A preliminary project budget, schedule, space plans and design concepts are prepared at this stage including a building code review.

  • ​​Design Development includes finalizing space plans, material and finish specifications and detailed furniture plans.

  • ​​Construction documents are completed to include plans, elevations, details and specifications for building permit, pricing and construction.

  • Contract Administration is managing the construction of the interior project by keeping the client informed of developments, monitoring schedule, processes and issuing supplementary  information as required. Progress payments are certified, shop drawings reviewed and a deficiency list prepared upon substantial completion.
